![]() The elaborate cutscenes and somewhat intricate narrative are enjoyable certainly, but I found 2016's method of storytelling to be more fitting for the series. I do wish the storytelling of Eternal was a bit more in line with 2016's, as the order of events and lore get a bit convoluted in the DLC. The final boss is pretty good, it's not exceptionally challenging and is a bit repetitive, but still works fairly well and is satisfying enough. The platforming sections are the strongest ones yet, and are legitimately quite fun. The new enemy types offer some amount of variety to the encounters, though a few of them interrupted the flow of gameplay a bit too much, leading to frustration. ![]() The difficulty has been scaled back from the Ancient Gods Part One, which is appreciated as that campaign went a bit overboard in terms of challenge.
